HDR photography is something I have been impressed by since seeing a shot on flickr last year. The photograph I saw had a wide range of vivid colors and popped. I have attempted my own HDR but have found I am more in tune with the shadows and highlights in the shots and not so much the colors….at least not yet. I am still  in search of that richly colored shot, but here are my attempts thus far. It was a very rainy day and everything was rather dark. For those who have never heard of HDR…it is when you photograph some kind of landscape, preferably using a tripod to keep the orientation of each shot identical, at various exposures – slightly underexposed, what the camera deems regular exposure and slightly overexposed. It is recommended you take at least 3 frames, but I personally feel about 5 frames…two varieties of underexposure, one proper exposure and two varieties of overexposure. In photoshop you then merge the files and the highlights along with the shadows are shown in the final image.
